When writing an explanation about complex scientific topics such as desalination or climate change, it is important to organize your ideas with clarity. Including claim(s), evidence and reasoning in your explanation will help you to communicate clearly so that the reader will understand your purpose for writing and accept your ideas.

In this module, you will learn to identify claims and how evidence and reasoning support claims in a text.

  • Identify evidence that supports a particular claim.
