A well-written explanation is crafted in a way that is clear for the reader to understand. The claim(s), reasoning and evidence that you include in your explanation must be organized using proper writing conventions. In this module, you will learn how to craft a well-written science explanation so that readers will have a clear understanding of your ideas.

Module Objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • Develop an explanation that includes a claim(s), appropriate facts, examples and other information to support the claim(s) and reasoning that together clearly explains the science topic.
  • Include important vocabulary that is related to the topic.
  • Develop a conclusion that supports the explanation.
