This module is for Grades: 6-8 Welcome

In order to be a critical reader and thinker, it is vital that you master the skill of comparing and contrasting.  This skill allows you to think deeply about the most important information, synthesize related concepts, reread for accuracy and precision, and clarify your thinking about the content you are learning.   In this module you will compare and contrast the information gained in a science text with that gained from video to deepen your understanding of the concept.

Module Objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • Identify the central idea and key details in a science text.
  • Identify the central idea and key details in videos related to the text.
  • Compare and contrast the information gained from text with that gained from watching a video on the same topic.
